As a new parent, this question will come up as soon as the baby comes out.  Or it might have come up before as you hear horror stories from your friends or relative.

A young baby will wake up at night to be fed, changed, or is looking for some security from parents.  By the time a baby reaches 1 years old he or she should have enough food that they will not feel hungry at night.  Again, this all depends on your baby and could range from 10 months to 2 years.

A baby will feel like they need to be changed if their diaper leaks and they feel uncomfortable.  The solution is find the perfect diaper that will hold all the excess pee. I actually went up a couple of sizes to make sure my on was fully secure.  Afterwards he still slept through the night without any problem.

If your baby wakes up because they are looking for comfort, then that is a process of proper sleep training your baby.  But be warned, all sleep training requires some form of crying.  The method that I chose was to let him cry out for few minutes and comfort him afterwards.  Each time, I would let him cry for a longer time.  This lasted for 3 days before he got the idea and was able to sleep in his crib by himself.

My is 15 months now and I’ve been transitioning him over to more solid foods.  I started feeding him yogurt when he was 9 months old because I thought he didn’t get enough nutrition because he didn’t like to drink formula or milk.  The Pediatrician suggested yogurt and he loves it.  We tried the organic brand, YoBaby and he loves the blueberry flavor.

We modified the recipe with extra banana and some KIX crunch into them. The good thing now is he expects a yogurt for dessert after dinner. :)

Enjoying his time out with friends
